রাজধানীর খিলগাঁও ও মুগদা এলাকায় পৃথক ঘটনায় চার শিশু-কিশোরী ধর্ষণের শিকার হয়েছে। আজ বৃহস্পতিবার সকাল ১০টা থেকে দুপুর ১২টার মধ্যে তাদের ভর্তি করা হয়েছে ঢাকা মেডিকেল কলেজ (ঢামেক) হাসপাতালে।
একটি স্বাধীন দেশে, যেখানে আইন-শৃঙ্খলা রক্ষাকারী বাহিনী রয়েছে, বিচারব্যবস্থা রয়েছে, সেখানে দিনের আলোয় চারটি শিশু-কিশোরী ধর্ষণের শিকার হয়, কিন্তু আমরা ধর্ষকদের নাম জানি না। পত্রিকার পাতায় কেবল আক্রান্তদের বয়স, ঠিকানা আর হাসপাতালে ভর্তি হওয়ার সময় উল্লেখ করা হয়—যেন তারা কেবল সংখ্যা! যেন তাদের রক্তাক্ত দেহ, আতঙ্কিত চোখ, বিদীর্ণ হৃদয়, ভাঙা আত্মা কোনো গল্প বলে না!
এভাবে কি একদিন প্রতিটি হাসপাতাল ও ক্লিনিকে ধর্ষিতাদের চিকিৎসার জন্য ‘ওয়ান স্টপ ক্রাইসিস সেন্টার’ খুলতে হবে? ধর্ষণের হার এমন পর্যায়ে পৌঁছে যাবে যে, হাসপাতালের জরুরি বিভাগে আর হৃদরোগী বা অন্য দুর্ঘটনার শিকারদের জন্য জায়গা থাকবে না—শুধু ধর্ষিতাদের জন্য বিশেষ ওয়ার্ড রাখতে হবে?
আমাদের কি একটুও লজ্জা নেই?
রাষ্ট্রের কি একটুও দায়িত্ববোধ নেই?
আমাদের পুলিশ, প্রশাসন, বিচারব্যবস্থা কি এতটাই অক্ষম যে ধর্ষকরা দিনে-দুপুরে তাদের শিকারের খোঁজে বের হয়, ধর্ষণ করে, আরামে ঘুরে বেড়ায়—কিন্তু আমরা জানতেই পারি না, কে তারা, কোথায় তারা? তারা কি অদৃশ্য? নাকি আমরা ইচ্ছাকৃতভাবে তাদের দেখতে চাই না?
এমনকি ধর্মীয় শিক্ষায়তন মাদ্রাসায় অগণন ছেলে শিশু ধর্ষিত হচ্ছে রোজ। পবিত্র রমজানেও ধর্ষকের জঘন্য লালসা থেমে নেই। পত্রিকায় হররোজ এসব নিউজ দেখলেই তো ভয়ানক ট্রমায় আক্রান্ত হই। দেখনদারি ও তথাকথিত আইনের শাসনের প্রতি বিবমিষা জাগে।
এই দেশ কি ‘রেইপল্যান্ড’ হয়ে উঠছে? যেখানে নারীদের কোনো নিরাপত্তা নেই, শিশুদের কোনো ভবিষ্যৎ নেই? আজ ধর্ষিত চারজন শিশু-কিশোরী। কাল হয়তো চার শ’, একদিন হয়তো চার হাজার!
যদি এখনই না জাগি, যদি এখনই আইনশৃঙ্খলা বাহিনী, বিচারব্যবস্থা, সমাজ ও রাষ্ট্র ধর্ষকদের দমন না করে, তবে এ দেশ একদিন ‘ধর্ষকদের স্বর্গরাজ্যে’ পরিণত হবে।
আমরা কি তা হতে দিতে চাই? আপনার নীরবতাই ধর্ষকদের সবচেয়ে বড় অস্ত্র। এখনই মুখ খুলুন, প্রতিরোধ গড়ে তুলুন!

In separate incidents in Dhaka’s Khilgaon and Mugda areas, four young girls have been raped. Between 10 AM and 12 PM today, Thursday, they were admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
In an independent country with law enforcement agencies and a judicial system, four children fall victim to rape in broad daylight—yet we do not even know the names of the rapists. Newspapers only mention the victims' ages, addresses, and hospital admission times, as if they are just numbers! As if their bloodied bodies, terrified eyes, shattered hearts, and broken souls tell no story!
Will every hospital and clinic one day need a dedicated ‘One-Stop Crisis Center’ for rape survivors? Will the rate of sexual violence rise so high that emergency wards will no longer have space for cardiac patients or accident victims—only for survivors of rape?
Do we feel no shame?
Does the state bear no responsibility?
Is our police force, administration, and judiciary so utterly powerless that rapists roam freely in broad daylight, hunt for their prey, commit their heinous crimes, and yet remain unknown? Are they invisible? Or do we deliberately refuse to see them?
Even in religious institutions like madrasas, countless young boys are being sexually assaulted every day. The vile lust of rapists does not stop even in the holy month of Ramadan. Seeing these horrific news reports daily traumatizes us. It fills us with disgust toward the illusion of law and order.
Is this country turning into a ‘Rapeland,’ where women have no security and children have no future?
Today, four young girls have been raped. Tomorrow, it may be four hundred. One day, perhaps four thousand!
If we do not wake up now, if law enforcement, the judiciary, society, and the state do not immediately suppress these criminals, this country will soon become a ‘paradise for rapists.’
Do we want to let that happen? Your silence is a rapist’s greatest weapon. Speak up now, build resistance!
