10 LESSONS EVERYONE SHOULD LEARN THE HARD WAY IN THEIR 20S

Your twenties are chaotic, uncertain, and rife with errors you were unaware you were capable of. And truthfully? That's the way it should be. This decade is about stumbling, falling, and learning the lessons that will mold who you are, rather than "having it all figured out." Each lesson will teach you something that no book or classroom could ever teach you, even if some will hurt and some will sting for years.
In their twenties, everyone learns these ten lessons the hard way.

1. Not Everyone Stays Forever
People you thought would be everlasting become distant memories, friendships wane, and lovers depart. Although it hurts, it teaches you to cherish the people that stick with you.

2. Money Management Is Survival
You will quickly pay for those evenings when you spend impulsively or disregard your spending plan. One of the most difficult yet crucial things you will learn in your twenties is how to in-vest, save, and stay debt-free.

3. Self-Worth Isn’t Defined by Others
If you don't first believe in yourself, you'll spend years seeking acceptance in the form of likes, promotions, and praises, only to discover that it all means nothing.

4. Failure Is Not the End
You will fail a relationship, a job interview, and possibly even a dream. It is painful. However, failure has a peculiar way of guiding you in the direction of your destiny.

5. Health Is Wealth
It's okay to stay up late, consume junk food, and skip exercises these days. However, behaviors begin to shape your future body in your 20s. Before it's too late, take action.

6. Time Moves Faster Than You Think
You'll have countless choices when you're twenty-one. You're nearly thirty and you're wondering where the years have gone. You may not realize how important each day is.

7. You Can’t Please Everyone
Attempting to please everyone will exhaust you. You'll eventually discover the value of saying "no" and come to the realization that your tranquility is more valuable than being liked.

8. Real Growth Feels Uncomfortable
Leaving unsuitable relationships, cities, or careers is a necessary part of growth. In the moment, it feels terrifying, but there is no other option.

9. Your Mental Health Matters
You'll attempt to "tough it out" until you're at your breaking point. Maintaining your mental health is equally as important as maintaining your physical health. Saying no, journaling, and therapy are all important.

10. Regret Hurts More Than Rejection
You won't try things like asking someone out, applying for your ideal job, or relocating to a new place if you're afraid of being rejected. However, the regret of not trying will hurt more years later than any "no" could.

You will be put to the test, broken, and rebuilt in your twenties. You will lose dreams, people, and even pieces of yourself, but you will also acquire strength, resilience, and wisdom that you never would have thought possible. Every error, heartache, and wrong turn is actually a lesson waiting to be learned.
Therefore, give up striving for perfection if you're in your 20s. Accept the mess. Take lessons from the suffering. Because you'll look back and see that all of your hardships helped you become the person you were always destined to be.
