It has been seen many times in a restaurant that one person (beggar) often comes and takes advantage of the crowd to eat quietly and leave without paying the bill. One day when he (the beggar) was eating in a restaurant, a man went to the owner of the restaurant and told him that the man who was eating would take advantage of the crowd and leave without paying the bill.
The owner of the restaurant laughed and said, not only you, but many others have complained to me about that man.
Yet I never interrupted him knowingly, pretending not to see, because I think my restaurant is crowded for this guy. When he is hungry, he stays around my restaurant and prays to God that my shop will be very crowded, and he can eat in this crowd.
It is not to be proud that I am feeding someone, but it may also be that I am feeding someone's fortune.
এক রেষ্টুরেন্টে বহুবার দেখা গিয়েছে যে, এক ব্যক্তি (ভিক্ষুক) প্রায়ই আসে এবং ভীড়ের সুযোগ নিয়ে চুপচাপ খেয়ে বিল না দিয়েই চলে যায়। একদিন রেষ্টুরেন্টে যখন সে (ভিক্ষুক) খাচ্ছিল তখন এক ব্যক্তি রেষ্টুরেন্টের মালিককে গিয়ে বলল, ঐ যে লোকটা খাচ্ছে সে প্রতি দিনের মতো ভীড়ের সুযোগ নিয়ে বিল না দিয়েই চলে যাবে।
তার কথা শুনে রেষ্টুরেন্টের মালিক হেসে বললেন, কেবল আপনিই নন, আরো অনেকই ঐ লোকটার ব্যাপারে আমাকে অভিযোগ করেছে।
তবুও আমি জেনে-শুনে, দেখেও না দেখার ভান করে কখনও তাকে বাধা দেই নি কারন, আমি মনে করি যে আমার রেষ্টুরেন্টে ভিড় এই লোকটার জন্যই হয়। সে যখন ক্ষুধার্ত থাকে তখন আমার রেষ্টুরেন্টের আশেপাশেই অবস্থান করে এবং স্রষ্টার কাছে প্রার্থনা করে যেন আমার দোকানে যেন অনেক ভীড় হয় এবং এই ভীড়ের সুযোগে সে খেতে পারে।
এজন্য অহংকার করতে নেই যে, আমি কাউকে খাওয়াচ্ছি বরং এটাও হতে পারে যে, হয়তোবা আমিই কারো ভাগ্যে খাচ্ছি।
