- Confirm your email — if you sign up with an email and password, we now send you a link to confirm your address, and you'll need to click it before you can comment, vote, write, buy or use your account. Until then you can still browse, with a reminder at the top of every page. If the email doesn't arrive, check your spam folder; you can ask for another one every 30 minutes. Signed up with Google or Facebook? Nothing changes for you, and existing members are already confirmed.

- Faster password-reset and confirmation emails — asking for a reset link no longer makes you wait on the page; the email is sent in the background and arrives within a moment.
