General Tso’s Chicken (China)
Although its origins are up for controversy, General Tso's Chicken is among the most well-known Chinese-American cuisines. Chinese chef Peng Chang-kuei is thought to have invented it in the 1950s and named it after Zuo Zongtang, a general in the Qing Empire. Despite not being a traditional Chinese dish, Chinese-American cuisine has come to love it.

Ingredients:
500g chicken breast (cubed)
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp cornstarch
1/4 cup hoisin sauce
1 tbsp ginger (minced)
1 tbsp garlic (minced)
1-2 dried red chilies
Instructions:
Marinate chicken with soy sauce and cornstarch.
Heat oil and fry the chicken until crispy.
In another pan, sauté ginger, garlic, and chilies.
Add hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Mix well.
Add fried chicken to the sauce, stir to coat, and serve.
