Getting Started

Welcome to Fiction Factory, an open marketplace for literature. This guide gets you up and running by helping you create an account, navigate the platform, and understand the basics of buying and selling 3.

Creating an Account & Profile

  1. Click Login in the top-right corner of the page.
  2. Choose Register if you don't have an account, and sign up with your email, Google, or Facebook.
  3. Pick an authentic display name; offensive or spammy names are rejected at signup.
  4. Navigate to Edit Profile from the top-right account menu to update your bio, profile photo, and contact details.
  5. Your Public Profile displays your posts, achievements, and follower count to other users.

Finding Your Way Around

The top navigation bar contains your primary tools:

  • Dashboard: Your personal hub for statistics and quick links.
  • All Posts & Categories: Browse every published post or filter by specific topics.
  • My Posts: Manage the posts you have written.
  • Write: Open the editor to create a new post.

On the right side of the navigation bar, you will find:

  • Bell icon: Your notifications for comments, votes, followers, and achievements.
  • Cart icon: Items you have added to your shopping bag.
  • Your avatar: Access your account menu, earnings, or log out.

For Readers: Buying and Reading

  • Purchasing: Open a post and click Add to Cart at the bottom. Click the Cart icon in the top right to view your items and click Payment.
  • Payment Methods: You can pay securely from anywhere using bKash, Nagad, Visa, or other digital accounts.
  • Access: As soon as payment is completed, the writing is unlocked for you to read.

For Writers: Publishing and Earning

  • Publishing: Click New Post (or Write), write your story, set your price at the bottom, and click Publish 3. Share your work on social media to attract readers.
  • Tracking Sales: You will receive a notification for every sale, and detailed sales data is available on your Dashboard.
  • Royalties: The first 1,000 Star Customers receive a 60% royalty, while all others receive a 50% royalty.
  • Withdrawals: Visit the My Earnings page and click Withdraw to transfer accumulated funds to any linked digital account.

Platform Guidelines & Support

  • Content Restrictions: Fiction Factory strictly prohibits the publication of religiously or politically motivated writings.
  • Support: If you experience any issues, report them to the Fiction Factory Facebook page for a resolution within 24 hours.
  • Beta Status: The platform is currently in its Beta version, so full features are actively being rolled out.
