#Notifications

The bell icon in the top navigation keeps you in the loop. It's your inbox for everything that happens on Fiction Factory.

#What you get notified about

#Using the bell

• Unread count — a red badge on the bell shows how many notifications you haven't seen.
• Click the bell — a dropdown shows your most recent notifications. Unread ones are highlighted.
• Mark all read — clears the unread highlight on everything at once.
• All Notifications — opens your full notifications page.

#The Notifications page

The All Notifications button (or Notifications in your dashboard sidebar) opens your full inbox:

• Every notification, newest first.
• New badges on unread items — click one to mark it read.
• Mark all as read and Clear all buttons at the top.
• Notifications with a link (like "someone commented on your post") take you straight to the post.

#Notification etiquette

• Notifications are per settled event — if someone rapidly toggles a vote, you get one notification for the final result, not one per click.
• Downvotes are notified too, so you can see how your content is received.

#Tip

Click a notification's View → link to jump right to the post. Reading and replying quickly is how great conversations (and more upvotes) start.
